You have to first enable wired controller communications in Settings before you can use a controller wired. Anyway I hope that this helps someone with this similar situation. My wired controllers are off branded except for a cube controller but that cube controller is plugged in to a nyko usb converter so not sure if that counts as on brand lol. I should probably also mention that most my games are cartos. tho all my games that have non skip-able intros replayed despite having my saves there and still available afterwords. but all my games saves appear to be fine. Now I am not sure if having a basic paid Nintendo account helps in this process. Go to the Nintendo store and re-download all of your games, dlcs, and other downloadable content. After you do all the things and log in you will be brought back to the main view.

The system will do its sets up like it did the first time you turned on your system after purchase. You hold down vol up + vol down + power button till console shuts down then turned it back on in the same manner. I did what Nintendo basically listed as a non destructive reset (this is not entirely non destructive you WILL lose your SD card information, as the system will think the sd card is from another system. What i ended up having to do to fix my problem was to do a factory reset on the switch. I WAS able to fix my problem and so I decided to post a reply here in case others with a similar issue was like me and had a hard time finding information. This topic was the most alike my own problem that i could find. I had gotten this issue with wired controllers and found this topic trying to fix my problem. Have you confirmed that your controllers work with another Switch?Įdited on Thu 26th August, 2021 16:27 by WoomyNNYesĪpologies for this necro. I don't know if there's a way around that (Pre pandemic, Nintendo typically aimed to repair & get your console back to you within 2 weeks, but last month someone here from Australia said covid issues have hindered their capacity to be quick).

Nintendo will likely work with you, but they may want you to send in your console, leaving you console-less for weeks. For that sort of thing, you should talk to the manager - They are the most likely to say "yes" to that, and want to keep you satisfied. If you bought from a physical store, some stores may let you do that. To avoid having to send your console to Nintendo for repair, leaving you console-less for weeks, I don't know if there's a way you could buy a new Switch, transfer your stuff to it, then return the old switch for a refund. Here's the list of games that don't have Switch Online cloud save support: However, the caveat is, you need to have both your old console & a new one to transfer your data/games I say this in case you have one of the few games that doesn't have cloud save back up support. I could see Nintendo, or the store you purchased from, allowing a console return for that issue.
